* Minikens

In my morning thesaurus browsing, I ran across a perfect word to describe these designs.
Minikens!  This is from the Dutch word  “Minne”  for love.  The history of the word is this:
  • Obsolete - a darling thing
  • Rare - anything very small and delicate
  • A small, dainty thing
My Minikens are for the most part, smaller designs around 100 or so stitches each direction, which can be stitched over 1 for an ornament or decoration sized piece.  Some are just small and dainty but do require being stitched over 2 due to certain details.

Any of these designs are perfect for a small yet elegant gift that says "You are so very special to me".

    There's No Place Like HomeSpecialty stitches in this work, all simple: Border Flower, Algerian Eyelet and Florentine.  Work over two threads on even weave as the little ruby slippers are done in petite stitch. The large letter T can be stitched separately as a lovely monogram for a gift tag, pin cushion, needle book cover.  Size:157x 66

    There's No Place Like Home - This chart set offers two versions in this 2 in 1 set - : This version has a delicate Blackwork border above the gold Assisi work.

    For both designs, the ornate letter T is 23 stitches high, suitable as a lovely monogram if stitched alone. Each design is 181x 60, with only full crosses, and back or straight stitch.

     There's No Place Like Home
    This version has a floral & leaves border above the gold Assisi work.
