In my morning thesaurus browsing, I ran across a perfect word to describe these designs.
Minikens! This is from the Dutch word “Minne” for love. The history of the word is this:
- Obsolete - a darling thing
- Rare - anything very small and delicate
- A small, dainty thing
My Minikens are for the most part, smaller designs around 100 or so stitches each direction, which can be stitched over 1 for an ornament or decoration sized piece. Some are just small and dainty but do require being stitched over 2 due to certain details.
Any of these designs are perfect for a small yet elegant gift that says "You are so very special to me".
